Procrastination...

I'll admit, I've been putting off writing this blog post for almost a week now. Not for lack of ideas or things to talk about, just being incredibly lazy/distracted by other pressing matters. So basically I'm just gonna throw at all of you all the "stuff" that's been going on this week.

We finished moving in last week, It's pretty nice in here (now that the exterminator came and killed all the black widows)

Lyric is enjoying this too,... besides the fact she isn't allowed inside... but other than that, she loves it!
While on the subject of animals, we took both dogs to the vet last weekend. Turns out Lyric up there has cancer and Goldie is going blind, Which is usual because these are some really OLD dogs.

I've been going through a struggle with God for the past month (or since I graduated) about whether or not I should go to college and if I was going to go, I kinda needed to know what to go for. At the first sign of him saying no, I automatically assumed it was me going for the easier route and was going to go any way. A little further down the road, I'm realizing that it is in fact God and he's shown me what I should be focusing on (Instead of freaking out whenever some one would bring it up). That turns out to be family and helping out with the children's ministry at church :).
Well... that got a bit heavy haha. Anyways...

For those that live in the Kansas area knows that it's been outrageously hot, not normal heat for Kansas,.. in the hundreds EVERYDAY! Now, I like heat but this is too much. Well today, we finally got rain!

Ohh it was wonderful, The twins and I even went out and played in the rain for a while. What's even better is that the temperature went down! possible the low 90's. It was fantastic!

It's so beautiful, I'm showing you two pictures :)

Well that's it for today folks! So here are some questions for you! What's the hottest (or coldest) temperature so far this summer in you're state?

Until next time
Later :)

It's been a while!

Soo,... it's been about a week since the last post...maybe more. Well let me bring you up to speed with the family.

We are moving to a new house! Lots of excitement! (mostly because we all get our own rooms :)) Normally there would be a large amount of pictures, but sadly, it seems my already terrible vision is getting much worst. All the pictures were out of focus and blurry :(. So next time we wander over there (which is every week) I'll take new pictures or make mother take them :)

This is the only picture that doesn't look horrible.
That picture above is the cellar door, which is in the back yard. I don't trust it, I'm afraid that it'll shut (while I'm inside) and we won't be able to open it (claustrophobia...). It has, however, become my chore to make sure it stays clean on the inside and make it look less,... dungeon-ish :)

On a completely different subject.

I went and got my hair cut today... It's been a very long time since I last cut my hair, so was really long with a lot of split ends haha. Basically I'm telling you this only because I want to show you the end result... Now don't worry, I'm not blonde... In fact I don't even have the tips yet. However! This will happen (maybe not at a salon since it costs 75 dollars...) I'm excited.

Pretty right

So here's a question for you readers! What the craziest color you've put in your hair? Permanent or temporary.

Pike's Peak!

Once we arrived at out destination, we basically kicked back and relaxed.  The one regret I have is submerging Turbo into a world of crazy overstimulation.  As you will be able to tell, we got up early and headed to Pike's Peak.  Let's go through the pictures and I'll show you what all we learned!

Yeah, a picture of me!  Ha!  I tend to like to stay on the OTHER side of the camera, but I figured my kids would appreciate a picture of me so they knew I was there too!

Turbo was quite enthralled with all the "big hills" but that went away when we began the ascent UP Pike's Peak!

Diva checking things out too!

Oh yes, it was COLD up there!  The sign just warned you of what was to come, but man, it was really, really cold up there and I LOVE cold!

Halfway...but I thought this was a beautiful view!

At the top of Pike's Peak!  I wish I could tell you it was a wonderful, fabulous, spectacular time up there but I would be totally lying!  The air was so thin that I felt like I was going to pass out the whole time:(  I was able to snap a couple of pictures to prove I was there, but I just could not get down fast enough!

Turbo was not a fan either...I didn't even think about his ear issues!  When we reached the top, he was in shut down mode.  When we got into the van, he fell right to sleep.  That's how he deal with stressful situations...don't we all?  Just go to sleep!

As we cruised our way back down the mountain, they have a check point that tests the heat of your breaks.  Ours were super hot!  So we had to pull over and let them cool down for 15 minutes.  While we were there, Nick bumped into a lady who was a teacher at his local High School in Palm Bay, Florida!  Small world!

Oh yes!  Then we saw the Big Foot!....Wait, that's Nick!!!  LOL

Beautiful Aspen Trees!

Overall, this was quite an experience for our family.  We stopped at a little diner and fed everyone and then headed back home.

Oh, and last but not least, Tori got her picture with a bear....

Albeit, a stuffed bear, but still a bear!
